Every step will shape a sentence…
On the 11th September 2024, two people will set off on a twelve day, 212 mile hike from the Irish sea on the West coast of England, to the North Sea on the East coast.
The journey will undoubtedly prove to challenge them physically, mentally and emotionally as they cross mountains and moorland in the hope of promoting awareness of both physical and mental health, whilst also raising money for twelve charities that provide everything from research to respite to recovery.
Every mile will create a chapter…
Along with discussing their own personal experiences with disability, each day the pair will also be joined by guest walkers who’ll “Talk the Walk” in order to raise awareness of disabilities, both visible and hidden, and having the tough, courageous and often uncomfortable conversations about mental health.
From charity ambassadors to chief execs, from army veterans to seven-time world record holders, The TwoTwelve is about listening to the stories of strangers, it’s about sharing experiences that challenge our assumptions and it’s about creating those unexpected opportunities to grow and learn through understanding.
And amidst all of this conversation, the TwoTwelve is also about being grateful for where we are today, it’s about instigating change, inspiring action and improving mindsets.

The TwoTwelve will bring together people from all walks of life, disability and mental health doesn’t discriminate, affecting anyone regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, gender or standing.
